wait, what?
"Casino Night" (the slightly more official Office recap)
-Written by Steve Carell
Scrantonicity!
Toby! Now my favorite secondary character.
Toby: Actually, I didn’t think it was appropriate to invite children, since it’s uh, you know, there’s gambling and alcohol, and it’s in our dangerous warehouse, and it’s a school night, and you know, Hooters is catering, and is that enough, is that enough, should I keep going …
Michael: Why are you the way that you are?
Toby: I don’t really play cards, but I’m not going to lie to you, it felt really good to take money from Michael. Gonna chase that feeling.
Darryl: Dinkin flicka
Michael: Chili's is great.
Ryan: One beer, and one 7 and 7 with eight Maraschino cherries, sugar on the rim, blended if you can.
Jim: So that’s still going on, huh, you and Kelly.
Dwight: "Codename Remax is here. No sign of Lan Jevinson."

All Things Pim
As I said before, loved it. I had a "wait, what?" moment with Pim in this episode. Sure enough, there were two sweeping romantic gestures. Jim declares himself to Pam. I was really thrown by this. I figured he'd tell Pam he was transferring to another branch, not that he, gulp, loves her. Wait, what? Unexpected. The scene goes from a sweet to sinking feeling in no time fast. The line where he says "I just needed you to know....once" is so moving. The facial expressions! The tears! The guy is heartsick in the worst way. And the end! The end was very lovely and ambiguous. For me this rates right up there with the best of the Tim/Dawn moments. (Tim takes off his microphone and goes after Dawn and gets rejected. The Christmas special when Dawn opens her secret santa gift and returns to the party for Tim.) Fischer and Krasinski were incredible. So very neat!
Well played. Can't wait till next season.
