Song for the day: "Silver Bells" -- Supremes edition

I'm all about the Ella and baking up a storm right now......the holidays are here. I was a nervous wreck over the red velvet cupcakes, but they turned out pretty okay.

Re: Light-Lookin'
There's always something new each year. This seems to be the year of the polar bear. I like the polar bears that move in the creepy way that animatronic lawn ornaments tend to do. The Rudolph movie characters on that one lawn were nice too. My favorite is still the house that gets really creative with it and places blue lights on the ground to look like a stream, complete with reindeer taking sips. I saw something about Christmas light tours in NYC - I'd love to do that one day!

30 Rock: "The Break-Up"
Lemon (Fey) attempting to meet guys -- a hilarious trainwreck-nightmare. Thrilled that Alec Baldwin was nominated for a Golden Globe for the Jack Donaghy role! Every time I think of the name and character of Kenneth Ellen, I start laughing.

The Office: "Benihana Christmas"
Pretty funny. The dialogue-free moments where the camera just casually sweeps the party were probably the best.

Colbert Report
The whole "Decemberists vs. Colbert in a guitar duel to the death" affair was fun while it lasted. I loved the footage from Colbert's 80s music period and the counter-challege statement put forth by the band. Oh the dear.

I want to see A Night at the Museum even though Joe says it looks like Jumanji. I can't resist natural history museums.

Song for the day: How about "A Pair of Brown Eyes."
