mini assessment of the new show pushing daisies

Pushing Daisies - whimsical, creative, a sort of Big Fish meets Picket Fences meets I don't know what. The lead Lee Pace is as cute as can be. My top pick for this tv season's "never stood a chance and by the way why do shows like Seventh Heaven keep getting renewed anyway?" award. Let the countdown to cancellation begin.

Project Runway - Nov 14! Tim Gunn podcasts return!!

That is one of the few shows I haven't seen...

No doubt about the stupid shit like seventh heaven yet we wait on pins and needles at the end of the season about 30 Rock and the Office... Grrrrrr...

Speaking of the Office, last night was funny as hell.

"I'll leave your toothbrush on top of your tire in the morning"

I'm not surprised really, Pam is the office mattress"

"I got you a replacement cat for the one I destroyed"

You have time to catch a flick and maybe have dinner on Sunday?

Sunday sounds good.

The Office was pretty good. I thought the Toby stuff was pretty good too, "Let's just see how long it lasts." Yeesh.

30 Rock was awesome. I liked how Liz Lemon's crying jags sound like a weak Seinfeld rant and how she called the wedding dress a $4000 ham napkin. Yay!

Don't forget to watch SNL tomorrow night. Seth Rogen and musical guest Spoon!!!

One more 30 Rock thing I liked: when Jack told Liz a woman her age is more likley to be mauled by an lion at the zoo than meet a man. Too true!

Yeah the 30 Rock stuff was great. I liked when Seinfeld asked Liz if she was mocking her and said he was offended.

BTW, total sidebar, but we just watched two weeks worth of Dirty Sexy Money and all I have to say is HOLY SHIT!!!!! If you weren't watching it you better effing start. It might become my favorite show on TV. You have only missed two shows and Kev got erase happy before I told him to save in case you hadn't seen them. I bet they are online. Seriously though, Donald Sutherland and Peter Krause are amazing...

So we will talk more about Sunday then.

I've got the first two taped. My mom referred to it as a "real piss-cutter." I'll watch it promptly.
